Kid Fox Live in Oakland- By Julie Erusa

In a small Ugandan community in the San Francisco, another Ugandan artist sets out to entertain the masses. The weekend before they had Orlandoh of the “Nakokona” fame this time it was Kid Fox’s turn. Kid Fox perfomed songs like, Love is a good feeling, Brothers and Sisters, Zinunula, Nimechoka and a couple of new tunes too.

The show began at about midnight and ended some minutes before 2 to give people enough time to dance to their favorite songs.

Beside the few Ugandan who attended, we had a group of Tanzanians too who had come out to support their fellow East African and just seemed not to get enough of “Jangu” by the Obsessions.
You would probably want to hear about how the show went and the performance, what hit me more in the course of the evening was the unity and love amongst this small group of people. Everyone was a brother or sister, an uncle or auntie. The love to come out and help or support one another even if they did enjoy what was going to take place. The warmness and love given to a stranger or a new person who has just come into the community.

I think we need more of this at home, then it would be a better place.
