“Mama” raises Ras Mali
Well if you have your mother still alive and kicking wouldn't you be proud and glad to have her around? Many Ugandan recording artists have done so, Including artists like Juliana and Bobi wine, Boomshakata and others. However, Ras Mali has done it in a different way. He's blended deep African lyrics with his personal feelings and the result is his latest effort, “Maama.” It might have been around for two months now but it’s creating quite a buzz especially amongst artists that take their mothers quite closely to them. Ras Mali is not new to Uganda’s music industry scene, he's also the artist that showed patriotism when Uganda’s national soccer team was at it's lowest when it came to morale by releasing the track Uganda cranes ‘Oyee’ a track that was meant to bring inspiration to Uganda’s national soccer team. Amiable in character Ras Mali's day is seldom characterized with busy schedules within Spy promotions (a music promotions company) where he takes on the role of productions and promotions manager. He basically has to make sure all the Spyz promotions organized concerts are on schedule and artists ready whenever duty calls. However when you listen to the song Mama amongst many of his efforts at least you can notice that dedication and creativity are still a part of his rapport. If you feel like paying tribute to your mother or guardian perhaps you'll enjoy the afro-beat song mama produced by renown recording artist Clever J at pro-line studios(Ntinda)

Ugandans celebrate Martyr’s Day
The dates might be different, but the Ugandans abroad surely remember their Martyr’s Day. In my early years, Martyr’s day was always a big issue for me coz we would always go to Namugongo actually that was the only day we could leave the house to have some fun, these days it could pass un-noticed. Here back home, its celebrated on the 3rd June while in Boston, United States of America it’s celebrated from the 14th June to the 16th June. This year round they are holding an Music Festival that will include some of our own Ugandan artists like Chagga, Priscilla Kalibbala, The Amarula Family and many more. In a phone interview with one of the organizers, “We would like to use this opportunity for people to come together and experience their faith in very vibrant way”

Gospel jokes
At the Wedding
Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, "Why is the bride dressed in white?" "Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life."
The child thought about this for a moment, then said "So why is the groom wearing black?"
